Introduction to Handgun

This 4 Hour class is designed to teach the student the basic knowledge and attitudes necessary for selecting, owning, and using the pistol of their choice safely and effectively. Topics covered include: Safe gun handling, weapon selection, firearm nomenclature and manipulation, ammunition options and applications, storage & maintenance, fundamentals of pistol shooting including, grip options, stance options, sighting fundamentals, trigger control.

Course Level:  Introductory

Cost: $150 

Length: 4 Hours

Ammunition Required: 200 rounds

Equipment Required:  Handgun, and Eye & Ear Protection

Prerequisites: Students must be 18 years or older

Maximum Student to Instructor Ratio: 6:1

Ladies Only Introduction to Handgun

This 4 Hour class is designed to teach the student the basic knowledge and attitudes necessary for selecting owning and using the pistol of their choice safely and effectively. Topics covered include: Safe gun handling, weapon selection, firearm nomenclature and manipulation, ammunition options and applications, storage & maintenance, fundamentals of pistol shooting including, grip options, stance options, sighting fundamentals, trigger control.

Course Level: Introductory

Cost: $150 

Length: 4-4.5 Hours

Concealed Firearm Course
This is a suggested course for those just receiving a concealed carry permit.  This is a basic safety course, that covers firearms safety, individual legal responsibility and Indiana law. Cost includes class and range time. Please note: This class is for experienced shooters who can demonstrate basic handgun knowledge and safety. If you are not an experienced shooter, please register for the Handgun Intro Class.
Course Level: Intermediate
Cost: $65
Length: 2 Hours
Ammunition Required: 200 rounds
Equipment Required:  Handgun and Holster (See Holster Guidelines), and Eye & Ear Protection
Prerequisites: Students must be 18 years or older and able to demonstrate competency with a handgun.

Advanced Concealed Carry
Course Brief: So you’ve got your Concealed Carry Permit, now what? This 4 Hour class covers those very next steps that everyone planning to carry a handgun for self-defense should learn. This is not a target shooting class, it’s learning to use your firearm in a realistic way to fight for your life and specifically addresses Concealed Carry issues. This is designed for current Concealed Carry License holders who would like to hone their personal protection skills for real life situations.
Course Level: Intermediate
Cost: $150
Length: 4 Hours

- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to physically manipulate slide and clear a malfunction (jam).
- Must be able to lawfully possess firearm.

Course Brief: So you’ve got your Concealed Carry Permit, now what? This All Day Class covers those very next steps with a focus on the Female Concealed Weapons Permit Holder. This is not a target shooting class, it’s learning to use your firearm in a realistic way to fight for your life and specifically addresses Concealed Carry issues. Topics covered include female specific options for concealed carry (holsters and handbags) such as shooting through a handbag. Ladies can learn and ask questions in a comfortable environment with their peers. This is designed for current Concealed Carry License holders who would like to hone their personal protection skills for real life situations.

Advanced Defensive Handgun Level One (ADH1)
Course Brief: Shooting at the range and shooting in a life and death situation, are two completely different things. This defensive pistol course will guide you through the basics of utilizing your firearm under stress conditions. Topics covered include: stance, combative drawing, mastering trigger control, mastering recoil, tactical target engagement and point shooting.

- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to pull the slide back and lock it open (back) and clear a malfunction (jam).
- Must have concealed weapons license or provide a copy of a recent criminal background check.

Advanced Defensive Handgun Level Two (ADH2)
Course Brief: This level of defensive pistol training is specifically designed to pick up from where our ADH1 curriculum ended and continues to develop and refine the techniques to a deeper level of understanding. It will allow you to integrate more advanced techniques into your toolbox of pistol fighting systems. Topics covered include: One handed shooting and manipulation, point shooting, shooting while moving, use of cover, home defense techniques and more.

Introduction to Semi Auto Rifle

Course Brief: This class covers the basics of using your chosen rifle, whether it be bolt-action, lever-action or semi-automatic. Your instructor will cover Firearms Safety, Firearm Nomenclature, Firearm Specific Anomalies, Gun Management and Maintenance.

AR15 / M4 Platform Principles
Course Brief: This course is geared towards anyone looking to learn how to use the AR15 platform safely, effectively and reliably. It offers owners of AR-15 / M-4 /M-16 style rifles the necessary skill set for safe and proper application of this AR platform. Students will become familiarized with the AR-15 / M-4 rifle and will learn the basic gun-handling skills that are necessary to safely operate and maintain this weapon system. Topics covered include:  Nomenclature, Mechanical Operation, Disassembly & Reassembly, Function Checking, Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting, Zeroing Sights, Understanding Projectile Trajectory, Shooting Positions, Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning. Perfect for the new or soon-to-be AR-15 owner.

Force on Force Scenario Training
If you have had range time, but want to put your skills to the test with a reality based course, this is it.   This is a Class where you use SIRT laser Pistols to truly put those theories, skills and training to the test. Students will run through multiple Real-Life Force-on-Force Scenarios to practice and challenge their Real-Time Deadly Force Decision Making and Practical Firearms Skills. Instructors and other students will play innocent bystanders, law enforcement, and threats.

Students will be given a very brief description of the situation they are entering, then must Enter, Make Quick Decisions as to who is whom and How Best to Act, and then React. Throughout the day, students will actually See the Outcome of their "Plan".   Our Instructors will follow up each exercise with a debrief discussing possible actions, solutions and outcomes.  It is a real eye opener and thought provoking.

Home Defense Room Clearing Course
Course Brief: Every day civilians obtain firearms for personal protection inside the home, yet rarely do they have the opportunity to train in such an environment. In this course, you will receive professional training in the art of room clearing / tactical movement in and around a building. Students will learn how to best negotiate hallways, doorways, large rooms, small rooms, dark rooms, and familiar and unfamiliar rooms / buildings. We will teach you to fight in a confined space, with an elevated heart rate and in high-stress situations under the guidance of professional instructors. The class will be taught in a purpose-built shoot house and participants will use SIRT Laser weapons in force-on-force scenarios against live adversaries. This course is structured to be intense and dynamic, to take you out of your comfort zone. Students will be required to make ongoing decisions while under stress.

Low Light Pistol Training 
This course will be held in complete darkness. Students

 will be taught the correct use of flashlight and mounted lights to identify and engage threats. Topics covered include: equipment selection, drawing and correct manipulation of various flashlights, moving and shooting in the dark, sighted and instinctive shooting in the dark, shooting from cover, and reloading techniques including speed loads and tactical reloads in the dark. This is NOT a basic class. All student should be safe and well-versed in the use of their pistols before attending.

This class is not to teach you the fundamentals of drawing and reloading your firearm. Students are expected to have this knowledge prior to the course to promote safety and optimal learning.
